Chef Ken Lyon brings the experience of a culinary career spanning over 40 years to his role at The Yard and as the founder of Charcoal Garden Bar + Grill, the only full-service restaurant at The Wynwood Yard and the first restaurant in Miami composed of multiple shipping containers.
We like to say that Ken put tables on Lincoln Road, back when people thought was a crazy idea. He opened Lyon Freres, a joint venture with his brother, Jeff Lyon, in 1992. He has since helmed various notable culinary enterprises, including Lyon + Lyon Catering and Fratelli Lyon, a beloved Midtown spot known for its elegant, delicious approach to traditional Italian cooking. Ken's vision for CHARCOAL is to serve simple "analog" dishes that rely on fresh, quality ingredients and timeless recipes.
He fuses these influences in his upcoming class at The Yard. Let's go to Italy with Ken Lyon and make a delicious, healthy meal!

Proceeds from your ticket will go to Wellness in the School's program to ending childhood obesity through nutrition and fitness education. A handful of complimentary tickets per class are donated to community members such as teachers and first responders. This series is partially funded by Target Foundationand in partnership with Wellness in the Schools.
